Komini Safety Solutions (KSS) Ltd was established in 2014, for the purpose of providing specialist Safety Engineering and Risk Management services to the energy industry and other industrial sectors.
With our core values of excellence and integrity, we provide value driven and high quality Technical HSE Engineering services across all phases of energy projects and the asset life cycle, from Concept Selection through Detailed Design, Construction, Operations/ Asset Integrity and Decommissioning. In so doing, we apply a sense of ‘realism’ that takes into account our clients’ business drivers and

KASI USANI MSc CEng (MSaRS) FS Eng (TUV Rheinland)
Director & Principal Consultant
Kasi Usani is a Chartered Safety & Risk Engineer with over 21 years engineering experience, 17 of which have been in the upstream Oil and Gas industry as a Technical Safety Engineer and Consultant. A specialist in Process Safety and HSE risk management as well as Fire Protection engineering. Kasi has worked on both onshore and offshore major hazard facilities in different parts of the world including the UK, South America, the Middle East, as well as in Nigeria.
Kasi Usani holds a Master’s degree in Safety Engineering & Risk Management from the University of Aberdeen and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO), Nigeria. He also holds several other professional qualifications and certificates in the area of Safety Engineering, including IChemE certification for HAZOP Leadership & Management, and FS Eng, (TUV Rheinland) qualification for Safety Instrumented Systems, etc.
Kasi Usani is a member of the UK Institute of Directors and holds a certificate in Company Direction. As a member of the UK Safety and Reliability Society (SaRS), he is the Chair of SaRS’ Engineering Membership Committee, which is responsible for reviewing applications and interviewing applicants for engineering chartership through the UK Engineering Council (EC).
Kasi has mentored and continues to mentor a number of younger engineers, through his work with the Association for Black and Minority Ethnic Engineers (AFBE-UK) and in his personal capacity. He also hosts and presents regular CPD seminars and webinars with students, graduates and industry professionals.
Kasi is married with children.
